Welcome to our dedicated webpage on safeguarding. At AC Training, we prioritise the safety and well-being of our learners and those they work with above all else. This page is designed to provide comprehensive information on safeguarding measures implemented within our organisation to create a secure and nurturing environment for all.
Our Commitment to Safeguarding
At AC Training, safeguarding is not just a policy; it’s a core value ingrained in every aspect of our educational practice. It is fundamental to all of the training we deliver. We are committed to:
- Promoting a Culture of Safety: We foster an inclusive environment where learners and staff feel safe, respected, and empowered to voice any concerns they may have.
- Preventing Harm: Our proactive approach focuses on preventing harm before it occurs, through rigorous screening processes, ongoing training for staff, and clear protocols for identifying and addressing safeguarding issues.
- Supporting Learners and Staff: We provide signposting, advice and guidance to learners and staff who may be experiencing difficulties, ensuring they have access to the assistance they need to thrive academically and personally.
- Education and Awareness: we provide comprehensive education on many areas of safeguarding, including radicalisation and extremism to learners and staff.
Safeguarding Policies and Procedures
Reporting Concerns
If you have any safeguarding concerns (including radicalisation and extremism), whether related to yourself or someone else, we encourage you to report them immediately. You can do so by:
- Speaking to one of our trusted staff members, such as your skills coach or assessor.
- Contacting our dedicated Safeguarding Team via email or phone.
All reports will be taken seriously and handled with the utmost confidentiality and sensitivity.
Training and Awareness
Our staff undergo rigorous training on safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure they are equipped to identify, respond to, and prevent safeguarding issues effectively. Additionally, we provide ongoing awareness campaigns and educational materials (via our Hot Topics programme) to empower learners to recognise and report concerns.
Partnerships and Collaboration
We work closely with external agencies, such as local authorities and regional Prevent co-ordinators, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. By collaborating with relevant stakeholders, we can better safeguard the well-being of our learners and respond to concerns in a timely and effective manner.
