In the last week of February, we had the call that, to be honest, we had been waiting for, for a while – that we were being Ofsted inspected. We had known it was coming – there are set timeframes for these things – but nonetheless it still came as a bit of a shock. It is fair to say, though, that we also wanted the inspection to come. As an organisation, we have put a huge amount of effort in to providing a quality provision in place and we wanted to show it off.

That didn’t stop the last week of February being a little intense and stressful! Six inspectors became our guests for the week, and over the course of that time, they dug into every part of our operation speaking to our wonderful apprentices, our dedicated staff and our very supportive employers. No stone was left unturned…… and I am delighted to say that nothing untoward was found under said stones!

Our final report will be published on the Ofsted webpage on 10th April 2025. In the meantime, you can have a read of it here. We are delighted to have been given a Grade 2, which we believe is a fair reflection of our provision. It comes on the back of an ESFA quality achievement rate of 70.6% – one of the best in the country and is a tribute to the huge amount of hard work and effort that have been put in by all of the AC Training team.

So, thank you firstly to the Ofsted team for undertaking a rigorous but fair inspection, to our lovely learners and some of the kind comments that they made during our inspection, to our epic employers who have faith in us to deliver training to their staff and most of all to the amazing AC Training team – who make it all happen and are the ones responsible for this success.
