Why this programme?
You will play an important role in improving the health and wellbeing of the nation and provide a positive environment which supports (especially young) people to grow and develop through sport and physical activity. You will be able to promote, deliver and coach fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help whole communities to change their behaviour, as well as adopt and keep to a physically active lifestyle.
You will understand communities and customers. You will be equipped with the specialist knowledge needed to effectively work with your customer group (such as disabled adults) but also be knowledgeable about other inactive customer groups whom you may be expected to work with on occasions.
You will be a positive role model who builds a good rapport with your customers – especially those who are young, inactive, or from low-income and marginalised communities. Making a positive difference.
On successful completion of this Apprenticeship you will be eligible to become an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
Typically, achievers will progress onto the Community Sport and Health Officer Level 3 and progress within their place of employment.
