NAW 25 was quite the week. For the company we had a flurry of activity, celebrating our amazing apprentices many of of whom have completed their programmes recently with distinctions. We were also out and about with some of our NHS clients in London.
The first Sports Coach L4 Cohort of Apprenticeships, launched last month, offers a comprehensive curriculum covering high-performance, schools, and community routes, providing learners with specialised knowledge, skills, and behaviours tailored to each domain. Accredited by CIMSPA, this ground breaking program is delivered by AC Training, a leading provider of vocational training and apprenticeships.
AC Training started a group of eighteen learners on the ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management this month, through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Due to the high demand, we are looking to start another cohort by early November.
If you meet the criteria and live in Shropshire, then this provides an excellent opportunity for workshop learning and a nationally recognised qualification, to start you off in your management career.
Workshops on coaching and project management are also being offered for November/December.
According to the Mental Health Foundation, it is estimated that one in six employees in England experience common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression, in any given week. This statistic emphasizes the prevalence of mental health issues among the workforce in England.
AC Training as part of its commitment to learners’ personal development is pleased to announce that the enhanced career development support package is receiving a good uptake and referrals from the skills coach team.
Referrals to the two-hour career guidance support stands at around 5% of apprenticeship learners since January 2024.
We are delighted to announce that the Career Development Professional 6 will undergo a review to be completed by March 2025.
This is excellent news as initial communication from IfATE, stated that it could be at risk of being ‘retired’ as an apprenticeship Standard.
AC Training will be involved in an advisory capacity, as will other providers, to ensure any proposals are workable as processes and to maintain the credibility and rigour of the apprenticeship standard. We will also ensure present issues are factored in to any decisions about the new look of the Standard.
