According to the Mental Health Foundation, it is estimated that one in six employees in England experience common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression, in any given week. This statistic emphasizes the prevalence of mental health issues among the workforce in England.
So what is AC Training doing to combat this…?
AC Training, a leading independent training provider, has taken a proactive approach to ensuring the mental well-being of its apprenticeship learners. Recognising the importance of mental health support, we have implemented a comprehensive program that provides confidential counselling services, with a range of counsellors and/or psychotherapists for its apprentices.
One of the key benefits of the mental health support program offered by AC Training is the emphasis on confidentiality and personalisation. Apprentices have the autonomy to select their preferred counsellor or psychotherapist and schedule sessions at a time that is convenient for them, including evenings and weekends. Furthermore, the frequency of sessions is tailored to the desires of the apprentice, and they have the flexibility to rebook with the same therapist or choose a different one. The entire process is facilitated through a bespoke online platform, ensuring ease of access and management.
Importantly, AC Training recognises that mental health is not static and can fluctuate over time. As a result, apprentices can turn the support on and off as needed, aligning with their individual mental health changes throughout their training journey.
By offering such comprehensive mental health support, AC Training is not only prioritising the well-being of its apprentices but also setting a standard for how educational institutions can proactively address mental health within their programs. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for its learners, ultimately contributing to their overall success and well-being and supporting them to the successful completion of their programmes with us.
